"This is he most sophisticated organized crime syndicate that we have ever investigated in this area in terms of drug trafficking," said Taylor.

Boulder Councilman Found With Marijuana
27 Sep 2006 A Boulder city councilman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, the city announced Tuesday.Richard Polk, 57, was stopped Monday night near the Pearl Street Mall. Polk was driving a green Honda Element at the time.
Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana and found a wooden pipe, and 2.1 grams of suspected marijuana, the city said in a statement.
